Principal's Message

August 1, 2016

Dear Parents and Guardians of Lodge Community School students,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year.  We are certainly excited about this year and we look forward to working with you and your child.

Our mission is partnering with families and the community to do whatever it takes to create a rigorous, integrity-filled, safe, and engaging learning environment for all students.  As our primary partner you can give your child a head start on success by making sure that you and your child stay focused on three main areas.

v  Achievement:  We have high expectations for all students and need your help to make sure that your child is successful academically.

v  Attendance:  Student attendance is extremely important.  Children can’t learn if they aren’t at school every day and on time to all classes!

v  Behavior:  We treat our students with respect and expect students to treat others the same way.

Staff at Lodge is constantly learning new and better ways to teach your children and we offer parents many ways to continue their opportunities to learn.  We will continue using the Habits of Great Readers as a school wide focus and with our partnership with Learning Sciences International we will help your child set and achieves rigorous leaning goals.  In addition, Lodge Community School is a 21st Century Learning Community that offers programs for children, parents and the community during the school day, after school and in the evenings.

We want to work with you to make sure that your child receives the best possible education.  The research is clear:  When parents are involved in their children’s education, their children do better in school.

If you have questions about any of our programs concerning your child, please feel free to call me at 477-5319.  I am looking forward to meeting you and working with each of you.  It’s going to be a great year as we R.I.S.E with PRIDE!

Sincerely,

Robert W. Eberhart,

Principal
