Principal's Message

principal messageLodge Families,

Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year! What an exciting time to be a Lodge Lion! At Lodge, we want every student to belong. Just like pieces of a puzzle, each student is unique and has a place with us. We have so much ahead of us this year and I am confident that all students will grow in their learning as we explore their unique talents and provide all of the support needed to be successful.

Our teachers have been working hard, getting ready for students to return. Classrooms have been set-up and decorated to demonstrate the commitment and passion we have for students. We have had professional development with EL Education to support our reading curriculum and are ready to implement academic teaming again to build student autonomy.

Please welcome our new teachers to Lodge. As we start the year, we continue to see an increase in our enrollment. This year we have 3 sections of Kindergarten, first grade and 7th grade that support our need for additional staff. We have also said goodbye to a few teachers who have set out on new adventures. Our new teachers bring varied backgrounds and will provide a new set of talents to grow our students.

I also want to welcome the Early Learning Program to Lodge this year. We will have 3 and 4 year olds in our first preschool/pre-K program. This program offers families in our district the opportunity to access quality early childhood education right in our building! Contact the EVSC Early Learning office for more information.

At Lodge we have many opportunities for parents to come and learn with their children. Don’t forget to join PTSA and watch for information about Open House, Literacy Night, sporting events as well as all of the other activities available throughout the year. Feel free to come have lunch with your child, or sign up on the EVSC website to be a volunteer. We welcome you to be an active participant in your child’s education.

Thank you for entrusting your children to our care. We are ready to guide them academically, socially, and emotionally in order to help them Aspire, Aim and Achieve.

With LION PRIDE,
Amy Bonenberger
Principal
