Virtual Learning Days

Dear Lodge Families,

The EVSC, in cooperation with city, county and public health officials, have determined that school will be using the virtual learning option instead of on-campus classes next week, March 16th - March 20th.  The following week, the EVSC will be closed for Spring Break. At this time, we anticipate that we will reopen the following Monday, March 30th. However, this situation is still evolving, so please follow the local news in the event the closure is extended beyond Spring Break.

Because many Lodge families have limited access to the internet, all students will be provided with enough work on March 13th for multiple virtual learning days.  This work will also be posted on our school website in the event that you need to locate it in the future. Completing this work is how we determine if a student is in “attendance” for a virtual day, so students should turn completed work into their teacher(s) upon return. We will also post links to online programs our students may currently be using at school.  If you have access, students are encouraged to login and continue working on curriculum designed for their academic needs.

If parents or students have questions about the academic work sent home, feel free to reach out to the appropriate teacher for support.  Teachers will be available to respond to questions through school email from 10 am - 2 pm, each day that we are utilizing virtual learning.

Lodge will be one of the schools offering grab and go lunches to students Tuesday, March 17th- Friday, March 20th, from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.  Any student 18 or under will be able to come by school and pick up a sack lunch. (Students must be present to pick up their lunch.) Look for additional information from the EVSC regarding this opportunity.

Please remember this closure is a precaution.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.   Stay healthy.

Respectfully,

Amy Bonenberger
